My first water marble attempt!

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a safe and happy new year!  I didn't do a NYE mani this year because I didn't go out and honestly just did not feel like doing one!  I got home from work early today so I thought I'd try water marbling.  It is frustrating, some nails came out better than others, but overall I do like it and I think it's not too bad for my first try!!!

I started with Zoya 'Seraphina' as my base, and used Zoya 'Timo' and 'Jo' for the water marble.  I chose these colors because I wanted a winter-y look.  :)

RIGHT HAND:

Sooo... I thought, well maaaaybe I'll add some China Glaze 'Techno' overtop.  I wanted it to look as winter-y as possible!  I tried it on my thumb first just to see how I'd like it because I was worried it'd be do busy.  I do like it, but because this is my very first water marble and I am SO proud of it, I want to marvel at them for a little while before over doing it.  Maybe in a day or two I'll put it on the rest of them.

I love the holographic hex glitter!

And for the polishes, I used Zoya (of COURSE! they are my absolute FAVORITE polish brand!)

So how'd I do?! What do you guys think?  Do you like it with the Techno topcoat, or is it better without?  Thanks!

  2. I like it best without the techno! It takes away getting the beauty of the watermarble! Awesome job!

    1. Lol, no I'm not joking! I was pleasantly surprised too! The reason I never tried it was because I was afraid how it'd turn out and it wouldn't be worth the mess! Thank you :)
