(Now that it's September, haha)
The plates now come in this nice holder.
When you open it there is a short 'story' on the left, and the plates and a plastic credit card-type scraper on the right.
I guess they finally caught on that NOBODY uses real metal scrapers anymore! Kudos to them. I wonder if Konad will catch on? I actually love this.
I like this idea. It is nice and compact, but I hate having to shuffle through plates this way. I will most likely keep them with the rest of my plates, and save this box for use when traveling, maybe.
The first thing that I noticed was that the plates look larger than Konad plates and the previous Cheeky set.
Here is a size comparison with a previous Cheeky plate on top. My first thought was, 'oh, bummer.... these will not fit in my baseball card holders!' But I was wrong, they do fit! However, if you have gotten the new Bundle Monster Organizer, the new Cheeky plates will not fit in there.
And as usual, they come with the plastic cover that you must peel off prior to use.
So, let's get on with the images, shall we?!
So, back to the size of the actual plates. Here is a picture of CH55 from Cheeky's Summer 2012 Collection (left) next to their first set (right). They are larger so that the full nail images could be larger.
The full nail images are slightly larger than the first Cheeky set.
CH6 (from the first set)
Now let's test these babies out!
I did my friend Rachel's nails. She likes all things Nautical, so she was really excited when she saw CH 36 and CH49.
The basecoat is Milani "White on The Spot". I did cheat a little, the lines in the background were stamped with CH6 (from their first set) and stamped with Konad Special Polish Blue Pearl.
The thumb and Pinky were stamped with CH49 using Konad Special Red.
This is my favorite one. First , I stamped the anchors from CH36 using China Glaze "Passion". Then over top, I stamped with Konad Special Black.
This set really sets Cheeky apart from other brands. First of all, the images are very unique. There are themes for almost every event/holiday, and there were only two plates (CH44 and CH50) that were the typical floral images like most other Konads. The full nail images are larger, and the set comes with a plate holder and also the plastic scraper so that you don't scratch your plates. If you are looking for something different, then I definitely recommend these.
This set can be purchased on their website at Cheeky-Beauty.com (they are currently on holiday right now so sales are temporarily down), or at Amazon.com for $25.00 .

So what do you think? Which plate is your favorite? Will you be purchasing this set?
