Image plate size comparisons - VERY PICTURE HEAVY!!!!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to compare sizes of full nail images on various image plates.  I will be comparing Konad, Cheeky, Bundle Monster set 1, Bundle Monster set 2, Red Angel, Shany, Salon Express, Cheeky Jumbo plates, and DRK-A plate.  I hope that this is helpful for you, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.  I'll start off with the small plates and then compare them to XL plates.

BM21 from the first Bundle Monster set. 9/16ths of an inch in length.

6/16ths of an inch in width.

BM210 from the second Bundle Monster set. 10/16ths of an inch in length.

1/2 an inch in width.

Cheeky CH9 10/16ths of an inch in length.

This picture is at a little bit of an angle. It is actually 1/2 an inch in width.

Konad M57 - 10/16ths of an inch in length.

This was actually less than a half an inch, it's 1.2cm in width.  So slightly less than 1/2 an inch in width.

Cheeky vs Konad

Red Angel RA105 - 10/16ths of an inch in length.

 1/2 an inch in width.

Shany SH21 - 10/16ths of an inch in length.

1/2 an inch in width.

Salon Express SE22 - These are the same size as the first Bundle Monster set.  9/16ths of an inch in length.

6/16ths of an inch in width.

Now onto the Cheeky Jumbo plates and DRK-A.

DRK-A.  11/16ths of an inch in width.

Cheeky Jumbo Plate A.  A little over 9/16ths of an inch in width.

  2. Wow, this is awesome!
Thank you for such a great comparison. I was afraid to buy shany and cheeky plates, because I thought they are like the first bundle monster plates which are too small for my nails, but now I have to get them =).
My finances will suffer again =)

    1. You're welcome! I'm glad that this was helpful. I definitely recommend both of the sets, but be careful with Shany. They don't have a backing and they will cut you, mainly when you are trying to take off the covering at first.

    2. I saw a video on YouTube how one girl was removing the foil it really looked like PTA. Thank you for your kind warning =)

  3. I just started stamping and have the BM new set and some SE (don't like them) and just ordered the Cheeky Jumbo 6pc set and the Shany set and wondered if they are any bigger. So, I found your post and I love this post. I just can't wait to try out my new plates when they arrive. Thanks for all the work that went into this post.

    1. Yeah, the SE plates aren't very good. I like the little turtle, though. I think you will love the Cheeky plates. If you are looking for some REALLY large full nail images, check out Lealac plates (http://stampaholicnailart.blogspot.com/2012/09/lealac-plates-review-picture-heavy.html). I also did reviews and size comparisons with those as well, but they were done after this post. I'm so glad that this post was helpful for you!

  4. I may be your first guy visitor, I don't know, but I'm shopping for my niece...a total nail fanatic. She loves to watch YouTube videos and then run to the dressing room and try out what she just learned.

So, me being the cool uncle I am, and needing to give her the best gift :P I have to do my research. I am really late this year so I'm going to pay a small fortune in shipping, but it's worth it.

Thanks so much for your blog and putting so much work into it. I'll bet someone like me was never your intended audience, but it has been very helpful.

    Take care and Happy Holidays!!!

    1. Ross,

So sorry for getting back to you so late! I didn't see your comment until today. My audience is whomever enjoys and appreciates my blog! I am super thrilled that my blog post and review was able to help you pick out a gift for her! What did you end up getting for her? I hope she loved it!!! Happy holidays!!!

  5. I really love this nail stamping thing and want to get started, but there are so many brands and so many mixed reviews, I'm not sure which plates to but. I definitely don't want Konad due to their ridiculous prices, but I was wondering which brand you would most recommend and why. THANK YOU!
P.S. Right now I'm leaning towards getting BM's second edition plates
